What Makes Us Special?
Since 1957, United Way of Milford has uniquely positioned itself to bring together donors, volunteers, local health and human service organizations and corporate leaders in a spirit of partnership to address our community's most pressing needs, create solutions and solve problems. Through this collaborative process, United Way provides leadership, accountability and a focus on results.
We are an independent, community based team, governed by a locally elected board of directors from the community. We are able to provide much needed help to our agencies by keeping our administrative costs as low as possible utilizing our numerous, dedicated volunteers.
United Way looks at the entire community to pinpoint ways to better the lives of all Milford citizens. From supporting the Milford Senior Center and Good Shepherd Day Care Center to Bridges - A Community Support System, we work closely with programs that address our community's most critical needs, and give them the support necessary to attain their goals.
United Way of Milford focuses on prevention and results. We invest your gift in local programs that have met essential standards for excellence, provide valuable and necessary services to our community, and demonstrate measurable results. By giving to the United Way, you can trust you are helping to build a better community.
Through your gift of time or money, more children will receive a quality education, more seniors are able to stay in their own homes, and more of our most vulnerable citizens will receive the support they need to live productive, self-sufficient lives. Your gift, combined with those of your family, friends and co-workers, creates a powerful tool to improve the quality of life for our entire community.
United Way of Milford is committed to ensuring that voluntary contributions provide needed human services for all who live and/or work in our community. Together we build a stronger, more caring community.
