My name is Teresa; I am a long time Milford resident and a single mother of two beautiful young girls, Hailee & Jaelyn.
I can’t express in words how kind, helpful and generous the United Way of Milford has been. Being a single mom and the sole provider, I struggle with finances and only being able to work during school hours hinders my options.
If it were not for the United Way of Milford, my kids wouldn’t have been able to attend the Woodruff Family YMCA’s Summer Camp, which allowed me the opportunity to work during the summer.
I love the United Way of Milford because they are a no judgement zone. You are more than just a number in the system. I now am able to work and be productive in the community. I honestly can’t imagine where I would be without the amazing support and assistance the United Way of Milford extended to my family.
